Right Brain v Left Brain spinning woman(optical illusion)

FOCUS ON THE PICTURE

THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS

uses logic detail oriented facts rule words and language present and past math and science can comprehend knowing acknowledges order/pattern perception knows object namereality based forms strategies practical safe .

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS

uses feeling"big picture" oriented imagination rules symbols and images
.present and future philosophy & religion can "get it" (i.e. meaning)believes appreciates spatial perception knows object function fantasy based presents possibilities impetuous risk taking

WHY I LIKE THIS TOPIC

i like this topic because its really psychology.
and its so interesting at 1st look ull surely ask ur self. or u will wonder whats this spinning thing all about.. and u dont know that its already evaluating you. its so challenging and its so catchy ull surely give some of ur time to this spinning woman =] ahaha.. this one catch me really. its like the girl rotates counter clockwise and after 30 seconds it will change direction.. juts try to look.. its like an eye exercise.. i will give you some comments of those who already tried looking at this image. have a nice day.

RELATION TO PSYCHOLOGY

so the relation to pychology this one has many connections to psyhocology. u will notice or know it not even if i will not explain it to you deeply. simply. by means of the evaluation that has been made to you. it has something to do with ur eyes. with ur brain. sense. it will stimulate ur mind. and so many things about psychology so its so related. and this one is made for fun. evaluation and of course.. PSYCHOLOGY =]

JUSTIFICATION.

1ST PART.

EYES..

as light passes into the eyes it is indocuded or changed into neural impulses within retina . these impulses are then procssed through a series or brain cells traversing a path from the eye to the visual cortex...

then, light eventually reaches and stimulates the retina which an array og photo receptor cells at the back of the eyeball. photoreceptor cells are specialized cells that create synapses when activated by light through receptor molecules inside the receptor cells which trigger intrarecullar cascades that generates neural impulses...

after the partial crossing of the optic nerves at the optpic chiasma . the nerves makes its way to the cerebral cortex through the thalamus which does some inital processing and from there realys the impulses to the occipital lobe. it makes its way to the primaray visual cortex where vision occurs..

PRIMARY VISUAL CORTEX

these impulses are then transformed into simple visual sensations such as lines ,texture and color. these sensations do not form the whole picture.

VISUAL ASSOCIATION AREA

areas recieve simple visual sensations as neural impulses from the primary visual cortex , there impulses are then re assembled according to orientation and then associated with stored visual memories then forming recognition of objects if these images are assembled. vision occurs..Ü

PRIMARY VISUAL CORTEX.

which is located at the very back of the occipital lobe. recieves electrical signals from receptors in the eyes and transformed those signals into meaningless basic visual sensations. such as lights, lines, shadows, colors and texures

VISUAL ASSOCIATION AREA.

THAT MEANINGLESS SEANSATIONS ARE TRANSFOMED INTO COMPLETE MEANINGFULL PERCEPTIONS. SUCH AS PERSONS. ANIMALS,THINGS =]

SEE? ahaha. that one is a little complicated. but its explains a lot. =] well enjoy reding =P

why why why?

uh. so thats the structure of the brain.. so i think ur still wondering why brain. uh~ i just want you to know the structure of the brain. because it evaluates if u are right or left brain right? so i just want you to know the brain structure =] i will not goin to explain it deeply. but i know u can see the relation of that topic to brain and the eyes. so i hope. you will not say " sayang lang time ko. kainis!" ahaha hoping.. but still. it gives you lotsa informations. right? now its time for you to share it with ur friends. and test them. just dont forget to plug my blogspot. =]

SOME ADD UPS. ( PSYCHOLOGY RELATION)

TERMS.

STRUCTURALISM
- stresses that psychology is human experience studied from the point of view of the experiencing person its purpose is to 1. alanylze conciousness into component "elements" and 2. have a subject report to feelings, images and sensations through his sensory expiriences ( LIKE MY ROTATING GIRL) known as the introspectic method. it became scientifically obselate by 1940's

FUNCTIONALISM
-believes that psychology should be stressed more to the study of the mind as a funtioning and useful part of an organism rather than to the minds "structure" also pushed the objective method of observing behavior.
(BEHAVIOR BY MEANS OF LEFT AND RIGHT BRAIN)

STIMULUS RESPONSE- PSYCHOLOGY

is a movement in pyshology which advocated the use of strict experiemental procedures in the observation of behavior(EXPERIMENT LIKE MY ROTATING GIRL) (in responses)
in relation to its environment (or stimuli) the development behaviorism as a purely experimental science developed a method observing and conditioning behavioral responses

(ALSO HAS CONNECTIONS WITH ASSESMENT.EVALUATION AND DISCRIPTIVE METHODS IN REASERCH)

GESTALT PSYCHOLOGY

is an aproach to psychology that began in germany early in this century. the gestalt psychologist emphasized the importance of percieving whole objects or forms and proposed a number of principles of how we organized objects

DEPTH PERCEPTION

refers to the ability of your eye and brain to add a third dimension, depth to all visual perceptions. eventhough images projected on the retina are in only two dimensions height and width.

and so many more. relations =] ahaha.
